Return without delay
Do not wait to become perfect before turning to Allah. Return because you are in need of His forgiveness, guidance and help.
Repentance changes direction
Tawbah is more than words. It is a sincere change of direction: away from disobedience and toward Allah, supported by practical steps and better company.
Begin again
After repentance, follow a wrong with good. Protect the next Salaah, remove a pathway back to the sin, and continue asking Allah for steadfastness.
A believer repeatedly returns to Allah with honesty, hope and changed action.
Pray two units of voluntary prayer if appropriate, ask Allah for forgiveness, and remove one trigger that pulls you back toward the wrong.
