Allah alone deserves worship

Tawḥīd means recognising Allah as the only true Lord and directing worship to Him alone. Salaah, duʿā, reliance, sacrifice, hope and ultimate fear belong to Allah.

A belief that shapes life

Tawḥīd frees the heart from dependence upon created things. We use lawful means, ask people for what they can do, and ultimately place our trust in Allah.

Protect sincerity

Regularly examine why you act. A good deed becomes worship when it is sincere for Allah and follows sound guidance.

Key takeaway

Tawḥīd is to know Allah as One and worship Him alone with sincerity.

Put this into practice

Before your next good deed, pause and renew your intention: “I am doing this seeking Allah’s pleasure.”
