Qur’an 57:20

Keep This World in Perspective

Worldly life matters, but it must never be mistaken for the final destination.

وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَاعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ

“The life of this world is no more than the delusion of enjoyment.”

Qur’an 57:20

Islam does not require neglecting lawful work, family or enjoyment. It teaches us to hold them in the right place: gifts and responsibilities that will pass, not the ultimate purpose of existence.

Remembering the Hereafter gives urgency to repentance, generosity and meaningful use of time.
